Sandwich Bar 55 is a greasy sandwich spot in Melbourne that is perfect for a late night treat. The menu is pretty straight-forward: you pick your meat, pick the size of your baguette, pick your sauces and veggie toppings, and then decide whether you want the chips or onion rings. Everything is deliciously bad for you.
The restaurant does a lot of take-away, but if you decide to eat-in, you order from a counter and then take your food on a tray to your table. There are a few spots to sit in the front of the restaurant, but there's also quite a bit more seating in a room in the back in case the front fills up. We dined-in motzei shabbos, and the place was totally packed with teenagers out with their friends. We had a very good time too.
